Welcome Home Housing has three homes in the Rosemont area of Sacramento, California near Watt Avenue and Folsom Blvd. One of our homes houses four (4) men. One home has accommodations for five (5) women and the other for four (4) women. All homes are within ½ mile of each other creating a nice community and social opportunities. The homes are within walking distance of the light rail or a bus line.

Openings / Vacancies

We have regular openings as our residents "graduate" into the community at large. Our cost vary from $600.00 to $675.00 a month depending on the room. We have only one space at $600.00 in one of the women's homes. It is in a shared 24X12 room that is well divided for privacy. We have three master bedrooms at $675.00 with their own private bathroom. The other rooms are $650.00 and the residents share a bathroom.

Our fees include rent, food, utilities, furnishings, linens and all services. Residents must have a diagnosed mental illness. All residents are expected to sign and agree to abide by our program agreement. They must be able to manage and take their own medications as prescribed by their Doctors. They must be drug and alcohol free. They are expected to learn how to share in the cooking and cleaning of the house. We provide mentors for those who don't know how.

The residents need to have the ability to integrate into a shared housing setting with minimal on site support.

What We Do

Welcome Home Housing supports the individual goals of our residents. We assist them in finding a direction or goal, whether it’s learning how to cook, clean, shop, use public transportation, use a computer, attend school, look for a volunteer job or a paying job. The goals are as individual as the people involved. We provide a lot of “atta boys or atta girls”. We refer them to agencies as needed. We listen and help them problem solve. We encourage them to move beyond their fear of trying something new and to grow into the person he or she wants to become.
